About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for general inquiries from students via in-person, phone, and email
  • Provide proactive, high-quality service to assist students with wayfinding, degree requirements, and administrative policies
  • Resolve registration, enrolment, and fee issues, escalating complex problems as required
  • Screen and triage inquiries, making appropriate referrals to academic advising, financial advisors, or other campus resources
  • Provide detailed information regarding program eligibility, course requirements, procedures, and deadlines
  • Perform general administrative support, including maintaining digital platforms, updating websites, and composing student communications
  • Assist in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for a diverse student population

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced, post-secondary customer service or front-line role
  • Experience working with student information systems (e.g., ROSI)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple inquiries simultaneously and prioritize work under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, judgment, and diplomacy when handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of University College, its student population, and its specific academic programs
