Front Line Advisor

About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for general inquiries from students via in-person, phone, and email
- Provide proactive, high-quality service to assist students with wayfinding, degree requirements, and administrative policies
- Resolve registration, enrolment, and fee issues, escalating complex problems as required
- Screen and triage inquiries, making appropriate referrals to academic advising, financial advisors, or other campus resources
- Provide detailed information regarding program eligibility, course requirements, procedures, and deadlines
- Perform general administrative support, including maintaining digital platforms, updating websites, and composing student communications
- Assist in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for a diverse student population
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced, post-secondary customer service or front-line role
- Experience working with student information systems (e.g., ROSI)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to handle multiple inquiries simultaneously and prioritize work under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, judgment, and diplomacy when handling confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of University College, its student population, and its specific academic programs
