Front End Web Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve the college’s Drupal-based website, including custom theme development using Twig.
• Serve as a primary CMS resource for campus content editors by building intuitive templates and providing training.
• Own the on-site SEO program, including keyword research, metadata strategy, and technical SEO implementation.
• Translate brand guidelines into responsive, accessible web experiences with a focus on typography and layout.
• Champion WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance across all digital properties.
• Partner with the internal IT department on infrastructure, security, and platform maintenance.
• Support Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager implementation to track web performance and user behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Digital Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional front-end web development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Drupal development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with Twig templating and Git-based version control.
• Knowledge of technical SEO and tools like Google Search Console.
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education marketing or enrollment management.
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (Sass) and front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite).
• Experience with email marketing platforms and HTML email template development.
• Familiarity with local Drupal development environments such as DDEV or Lando.
• Exposure to UX research methods or usability testing.
