Front-End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug complex software enhancements for Alpha/Charles River Development modules
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create sustainable software solutions for complex problems
• Develop and implement software using C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Provide guidance and critical analysis during code reviews to ensure technical excellence
• Write unit and automation tests using frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Jasmine to ensure high-quality products
• Engage in the full agile scrum lifecycle, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Troubleshoot mission-critical client implementations and provide engineering assistance to support teams

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
• 9-12 years of experience in JavaScript with extensive expertise in ReactJS and TypeScript
• Proven experience with Single Page Applications (SPAs) using React and Angular
• Strong knowledge of Redux and RxJs
• Experience with the NodeJS ecosystem (NPM/Yarn)
• Experience with object-oriented programming in Java or C#
• Experience with cloud-based deployments, preferably Azure
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working within an Agile development methodology
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Jasmine

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, or Wealth Management
• Master's degree in a technical field
• Demonstrated ability to design software solutions for high-complexity business problems
