Front End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create intuitive, reliable, and attractive user interfaces for complex mission management software under demanding real-world constraints.
• Design and implement highly performant, framework-less user interfaces using native Web Components, Custom Elements, and Shadow DOM.
• Balance R&D and production by rapidly prototyping new features and systematically refactoring them into rock-solid, production-grade systems.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX and Backend engineers to implement seamless software for target tracking, map layouts, and telemetry.
• Formulate clear technical tickets from user stories to ensure smooth development cycles.
• Solve difficult technical rendering and telemetry challenges to ensure high-performance software delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, programming, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of vanilla TypeScript, JavaScript, and the native Web Platform (DOM API, Event Loop, Performance Profiling).
• Hands-on experience or deep interest in building scalable UI architectures using native Web Components without relying on heavy frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• A pragmatic engineering mindset with the ability to ship fast prototypes and refactor them into structured code.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the defense sector.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with real-time data streaming architectures, specifically WebSockets and WebRTC for low-latency video distribution.
• Experience handling high-frequency telemetry data or geographic map and canvas rendering in the browser.
• Prior experience in the automotive, aerospace, defense, or gaming industries.
• German language skills.
