Front End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture, design, and working software solutions.
• Design and develop software products that impact multiple areas of the Amazon Consumer business.
• Code and test system components while participating in regular code and design reviews.
• Demonstrate ownership of end-to-end code quality, including system, functional, and integration tests.
• Collaborate across various teams and roles to deliver high-quality results.
• Maintain responsibility for overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor other engineers, define technical culture, and contribute to team growth.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional non-internship front end, web, or mobile software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 1+ years of experience with computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with agile software development methodologies.
• Proficiency with common front-end technologies including TypeScript and Node.js.
