About the role
About the Company
Touchstone Climbing owns and operates 18 climbing gyms across California. We are more than gyms—we are a community.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all visitors complete necessary waivers, check in, and adhere to gym policies
- Greet visitors, answer calls, and respond to emails at the front desk
- Process memberships and online transactions
- Manage calendar reservations
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Sell merchandise and climbing gear in the retail shop
- Ensure climbing and gym safety standards are met
- Maintain a clean gym environment
- Support team members and contribute to a positive environment
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Passion for climbing and knowledge of climbing terminology and safety
- Ability to remain friendly and calm in various situations
- Highly self-directed and motivated
- Proficient with computers and point of sale systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service, service industry, or office management experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
