Front Desk Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and administrative support as the first point of contact for residents and visitors.
• Manage resident and guest check-ins, check-outs, and transfers using the Student Housing database.
• Act as a primary liaison during residence emergencies, including medical, fire, or security incidents, and apply appropriate policies to resolve situations.
• Administer key inventory, including issuing keys, managing electronic access, and handling lock-out provisions.
• Coordinate mail and parcel delivery, ensuring accurate distribution to residents.
• Monitor residence buildings and grounds for hazards, security breaches, or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation through Shift Activity Reports and logbook entries.
• Administer parking services, including payment collection and issuing passes.
• Work rotating shift blocks including mornings, afternoons, and overnights.

Requirements

• High school graduation.
• Proven experience in customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift and transport parcels weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to pass a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education.
• Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in urgent or complex situations.
