Front Desk Attendant

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct residents and the general public in person or via telephone
• Monitor client activities and provide personal, practical, and moral support
• Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and client registry information
• Follow medication procedures, including ordering, counting, and storing prescriptions
• Ensure facility safety through regular security checks of interior and exterior areas
• Complete required paperwork and HIFIS data entry for new clients
• Screen clients to ensure those under the influence do not enter the facility
• Manage the clothing room and maintain an orderly lockup area
• Adhere to all Emergency Disaster Services and fire safety protocols

Requirements

• High School diploma (specialized courses in addictions or social services are an asset)
• Minimum of 3 months of experience in a social services or front-line setting
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification
• Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and climb stairs frequently
• Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector background check and Enhanced Reliability Screening
• Required immunizations for Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis
