About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct residents and the general public in person or via telephone
- Monitor client activities and provide personal, practical, and moral support
- Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and client registry information
- Follow medication procedures, including ordering, counting, and storing prescriptions
- Ensure facility safety through regular security checks of interior and exterior areas
- Complete required paperwork and HIFIS data entry for new clients
- Screen clients to ensure those under the influence do not enter the facility
- Manage the clothing room and maintain an orderly lockup area
- Adhere to all Emergency Disaster Services and fire safety protocols
Requirements
- High School diploma (specialized courses in addictions or social services are an asset)
- Minimum of 3 months of experience in a social services or front-line setting
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and climb stairs frequently
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector background check and Enhanced Reliability Screening
- Required immunizations for Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis
