About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and managing mail and packages
- Assist with residence hall move-in and move-out procedures and maintain accurate documentation
- Manage equipment check-outs and resident/guest check-in processes
- Ensure building safety by verifying MCards, signing in guests, and monitoring security cameras
- Respond to emergency procedures, including fire alarms and severe weather drills
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents and guests
- Complete incident reports and administrative assignments in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and registered for courses at UM-Flint
- Minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5
- Ability to work at least 6 hours per week (minimum of two 3-hour shifts)
- Availability to work midnights, early mornings, weekends, and during academic breaks
- Ability to pass a formal background check through the University of Michigan
- Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain professional conduct
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service setting
- Possession of a Federal Work-Study award for the upcoming academic year
