Freeze Dry Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Consult with the Freeze Dry Supervisor to determine scheduled production runs and requirements
• Monitor Ray systems and screens to ensure chambers are running adequately
• Operate automated and manual freeze-dry equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and unload freeze-dry chambers, including sampling and preparing product for storage or packaging
• Conduct visual inspections to identify and control burned, high moisture, or discolored products
• Maintain accurate production records and utilize the department’s inventory tracking system
• Maintain a neat, organized, and safe work area in compliance with food safety and health regulations
• Collaborate effectively with Production and Maintenance departments

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience operating food processing machinery
• Experience safely operating Freeze Dry Systems
• Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
