Freelance Stagehand

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup (Load In) and breakdown (Load Out) of various performances and events
• Prepare the theater for upcoming events through efficient changeovers
• Assist with preparing lighting plots and hanging lights
• Perform theater maintenance and various show tasks to ensure an operational and safe environment
• Support events across multiple venues and spaces throughout the campus

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers and wrenches
• Ability to work in various environments, including indoors in theaters and outdoors for loading/unloading trucks

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous backstage theater experience
