Freelance Radio Anchor

Responsibilities

• Provide on-air talent for Fox News Headlines 24/7 Sirius XM Channel 115 and terrestrial radio stations nationally
• Write content for one-hour live national network newscasts
• Write 5-minute and 1-minute newscasts for national terrestrial stations
• Anchor long-form news coverage during breaking news situations
• Produce news packages for the affiliate network
• Handle live breaking news coverage during national newscasts

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a news anchor
• Experience in a Network or Major Market environment
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong news writing and delivery skills with a passion for breaking news
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays, often on short notice
• A demo reel or air check is required for consideration
