Freelance In-Person Event Specialist

With a proprietary library of team-based experiences across 90+ countries, Visit.org provides HR, CSR, and Meetings & Events leaders highly scalable, culturally appropriate content for purpose-driven employee and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site Event Coordinator for team-building and social impact activities
• Participate in virtual planning meetings with corporate, nonprofit, and internal partners
• Manage on-site setup, teardown, and site cleaning
• Serve as the primary Visit.org representative and problem-solver on the ground
• Coordinate with venue staff, nonprofit organizations, and corporate partners
• Manage the guest check-in process and provide a warm welcome
• Resolve real-time issues such as missing supplies, staffing delays, or technology challenges
• Provide consistent updates, photos, and videos to the central Events Team
• Pack, label, and ship event materials back to the distribution center

Requirements

• Based in New Brunswick, NJ
• Experience in complex, large-scale events or intimate executive-level events
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics
• Resourceful, quick-thinking, and able to work under pressure
• Ability to lift, slide, and carry up to 30 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Willingness to travel within the local region
