Freelance In-Person Event Specialist

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site Event Coordinator for social impact activities and team-building experiences
• Participate in virtual planning meetings with corporate, nonprofit, and internal stakeholders
• Manage event setup, teardown, and site cleaning
• Serve as the primary Visit.org representative and problem-solver on-site
• Coordinate with venues, staff, and nonprofit partners to align roles
• Manage the guest check-in process and provide a warm welcome
• Resolve real-time issues such as missing supplies or technology challenges
• Provide consistent updates, photos, and videos to the central Events Team
• Pack, label, and ship event materials back to the distribution center

Requirements

• Based in Bernardsville, NJ
• Experience in complex, large-scale or intimate executive-level events
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics
• Resourceful and able to problem-solve in ambiguous situations
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to travel within the local region
