About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-site lead for in-person social impact team-building events, managing setup, execution, and teardown.
  • Participate in virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofits, and the Visit.org team.
  • Manage the guest check-in process and provide a warm, professional welcome to all attendees.
  • Coordinate with on-site staff, venues, and nonprofit partners to ensure seamless event flow.
  • Problem-solve real-time challenges such as technology issues, missing supplies, or staffing delays.
  • Provide consistent updates, including photos and videos, to the central Events Team during live events.
  • Handle post-event logistics, including site cleanup and repackaging materials for shipment.

Requirements

  • Must be currently based in the Washington, DC area.
  • Proven experience in corporate event management and group facilitation.
  • Strong English fluency and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, on a per-event contract basis.
  • Resourceful mindset with the ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift, slide, or carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations within the local region.
