Freelance Event Specialist

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site lead for in-person social impact team-building events, managing setup, execution, and teardown.
• Participate in virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofits, and internal coordinators.
• Manage the guest check-in process, providing a warm and professional welcome to all attendees.
• Solve real-time logistical issues, such as technology challenges, missing supplies, or staffing delays.
• Coordinate with venue staff, nonprofit partners, and event hosts to ensure seamless operations.
• Provide consistent updates, including photos and videos, to the central Events Team during live events.
• Handle post-event breakdown, including cleaning the site and repackaging materials for shipment.

Requirements

• Must be currently based in Miami, FL.
• Fluency in English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven experience managing large-scale events or intimate executive-level gatherings.
• Experience in group facilitation and managing group dynamics.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, on a per-event contract basis.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift, slide, or carry up to 30 lbs.
• A self-starter mindset with the ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressure.
