Freelance Event Specialist

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site lead for in-person social impact team-building events and corporate experiences.
• Participate in virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofits, and the Visit.org team.
• Manage event setup, guest check-in, and teardown, ensuring all site areas are cleaned and materials are repackaged.
• Serve as the primary on-site representative, problem-solving real-time issues such as technology challenges or supply shortages.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders including venues, nonprofit partners, and additional event staff.
• Provide consistent updates, including photos and videos, to the internal Events Team throughout the event.

Requirements

• Must be based in Alpharetta, GA.
• Proven experience in corporate event management, including large-scale events and intimate executive-level gatherings.
• Experience in group facilitation and managing group dynamics.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, on a per-event contract basis.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift, slide, or carry up to 30 lbs.
• Strong English communication skills and a self-starter mindset.
