About the role
Responsibilities
- Learn from senior leaders and receive professional mentoring designed to launch a career in news production
- Tackle real-world projects and assist in finding and capturing impactful news stories
- Develop skills in producing newscasts for television, radio, or online platforms
- Successfully complete a 12-week program to transition into a full-time newscast producing position
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest and ability to produce news for television, radio, or online media
- Excellent writing skills and a strong base of editorial judgment
- Strong academic record with a complete transcript
- Must be graduating in May 2026 (completing senior year of college or graduate school)
- Ability to provide two academic or professional recommendations
- Willingness to relocate to an appointed Hearst station and spend up to 12 weeks post-graduation at a station of the company's choosing
