Fraud Strategy Lead

Responsibilities

• Own the fraud strategy agenda for the iwocaPay B2B payment product
• Design transaction profiling strategies and establish real-time automated decisioning
• Define risk appetite and build frameworks for credit policy and model governance
• Set modelling priorities and evaluate automated fraud models alongside data scientists
• Guide Risk Analysts and collaborate across product and engineering teams
• Translate analytical trade-offs into commercial decisions for leadership

Requirements

• Managed or contributed to a credit portfolio of £10 million or more
• Experience delivering fraud strategy in digital lending, fintech, or payments
• Knowledge of B2B fraud typologies like buyer impersonation or merchant collusion
• Experience managing fraud loss rates against high-velocity transaction volumes
• Ability to monitor and evaluate automated fraud models
• Background in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative discipline
• Proficiency in using AI tools to support analysis and decision making

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a B2B pay-later or trade credit business
• Experience assessing seller counterparty risk or merchant risk
• Experience building or scaling a risk function during significant growth
