Fraud Prevention Specialist

Responsibilities

• Generate statistical analyses to design strategies, models, and segmentations for fraud prevention in retail product origination.
• Develop metrics for decision-making, monitoring, and reporting to ensure strategy effectiveness and optimize usage.
• Lead and coordinate fraud prevention strategies using machine learning models and analytics to identify fraud patterns.
• Implement strategies within origination systems to mitigate losses from first-party, third-party, and credit abuse fraud.
• Perform periodic analysis of products and strategies to redesign and adjust them based on identified fraud patterns.
• Document fraud prevention policies to ensure correct execution and positive results during internal audits.
• Support the implementation of tools to identify potential fraud opportunely and identify areas for improvement.
• Interact with key areas within the product cycle and internal fraud prevention teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Applied Mathematics, or Administration.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Experience in database management and the use of statistical software.
• High proficiency in programming languages including SQL, SAS, and Python.
• Proven experience in fraud prevention or retail credit risk within a banking or financial institution.
