Responsibilities

  • Review and investigate fraud-related queues including account activity, payment transactions, account takeovers, disputes, and chargebacks
  • Analyze customer behavior and transaction patterns to identify suspicious activity and emerging fraud trends
  • Conduct thorough investigations into fraud alerts and customer claims to determine appropriate outcomes
  • Investigate fraud rings and complex schemes by identifying relationships between accounts, devices, and transactions
  • Collaborate with Risk, Data Science, and Compliance teams to support fraud prevention initiatives
  • Leverage internal tools, data analytics, and AI-powered solutions to improve investigation quality and efficiency
  • Document investigative findings clearly while maintaining adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve fraud operations processes, workflows, and controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, analytical, business, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and anomalies
  • Proficiency working with data and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting investigations
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fraud operations, banking operations, or dispute investigations
  • Experience with SQL, Excel, or automation tools
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams like Data Science or Risk
