About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct fraud investigations involving Money Network cards, ACH, checks, mobile applications, and account activation activity.
- Monitor transaction alerts, perform incident response, and generate comprehensive fraud reports.
- Respond to government and external inquiries, including supporting law enforcement with evidence and documentation.
- Evaluate diverse data sets to identify investigative trends and support the acquisition of new data sources.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Cyber Security, Anti-Money Laundering, Legal, Compliance, and Data Science to assess risk.
- Use analytics and fraud tools to research suspicious activity and enhance detection and prevention strategies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in fraud investigations, financial crime, AML, or a related risk management environment.
- 4+ years of experience conducting investigations in an enterprise environment, including evidence collection and case documentation.
- 4+ years of experience analyzing card, banking, payment, or money movement activity.
- Proven experience with payment card fraud, bank fraud, ACH, or check transactions.
- Proficiency with investigative analytics or link analysis tools such as Splunk or Palantir.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting government inquiries or law enforcement investigations involving financial crime.
- Experience working with Money Network programs or similar prepaid, debit, or digital payment products.
- Experience improving fraud alerting strategies through data analysis.
