About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data, and portfolio trends to improve risk and operational performance
  • Utilize SQL, SAS, Tableau, and Excel to provide analytical support for fraud mitigation strategies
  • Evaluate data to assess potential fraud risk and create effective mitigation strategies
  • Create, implement, and maintain rules designed to detect account takeover (ATO) and non-monetary fraud
  • Conduct investigation and root cause analysis of major fraud losses and emerging trends
  • Propose policy and procedural changes within segmentation structures to optimize results
  • Lead the coordination of product performance reports and updates for senior management

Requirements

  • 2+ years of fraud, cyber, or risk analyst experience developing or optimizing mitigation strategies
  • 3+ years of SQL and/or SAS coding experience
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field
  • Experience with fraud or claims focusing on Online Banking, Account Takeover, or authentication
  • Proficiency in Python and using Hadoop Impala/Hive
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, specifically Tableau
  • Experience mentoring teammates or leading projects
