About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and verification of FPGA platforms for SoC designs within the Secure Transactions & Interfaces business line
- Define FPGA strategy based on architecture, use cases, technology limitations, and schedule constraints
- Develop methodologies for handling non-digital components within the FPGA, such as analog blocks and non-volatile memories
- Interface with Firmware, Software, Architecture, and Design teams to understand product requirements and use cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug issues, identify work-arounds, and ensure high-quality delivery
- Support distributed users through FPGA farms and provide regular updates on design and platform status
Requirements
- Degree or Master's in Electronic or Computer Engineering
- 7+ years of professional experience in digital design or FPGA development
- Deep knowledge of the entire FPGA flow, including RTL, partitioning, synthesis, and bitfile generation
- Expertise in FPGA design debugging using external debuggers and specialized build techniques
- Strong understanding of SoC architecture, including CPUs, DMA, MMU, PLL, memory, and peripheral interfaces
- Proficiency with EDA tools for FPGA synthesis
- Experience with pre- and post-silicon debug in both simulation and bench environments
- Understanding of software development processes for embedded CPUs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the development of FPGAs containing significant analog content
- Experience developing and debugging software for embedded systems
