FPGA Platform Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and verification of FPGA platforms for SoC designs within the Secure Transactions & Interfaces business line
• Define FPGA strategy based on architecture, use cases, technology limitations, and schedule constraints
• Develop methodologies for handling non-digital components within the FPGA, such as analog blocks and non-volatile memories
• Interface with Firmware, Software, Architecture, and Design teams to understand product requirements and use cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug issues, identify work-arounds, and ensure high-quality delivery
• Support distributed users through FPGA farms and provide regular updates on design and platform status

Requirements

• Degree or Master's in Electronic or Computer Engineering
• 7+ years of professional experience in digital design or FPGA development
• Deep knowledge of the entire FPGA flow, including RTL, partitioning, synthesis, and bitfile generation
• Expertise in FPGA design debugging using external debuggers and specialized build techniques
• Strong understanding of SoC architecture, including CPUs, DMA, MMU, PLL, memory, and peripheral interfaces
• Proficiency with EDA tools for FPGA synthesis
• Experience with pre- and post-silicon debug in both simulation and bench environments
• Understanding of software development processes for embedded CPUs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the development of FPGAs containing significant analog content
• Experience developing and debugging software for embedded systems
