About the role

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of FPGA designs for major vendors including Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi
  • Support applications such as gigabit serial interfaces, RF and EO DSP, controls, and data links
  • Collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers on architecture, modeling, and code development
  • Verify designs using directed test and constrained random methodologies
  • Deliver production-quality FPGA releases from initial proof of concept through production
  • Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and test system requirements
  • Design and code in VHDL to ensure reliability and maintainability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM major
  • Experience in FPGA/ASIC design (VHDL and/or Verilog) or FPGA/ASIC verification (SystemVerilog)
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • FPGA design experience in radar or image processing techniques
  • Experience with embedded systems design using ARM, Microblaze, or Nios processors
  • Experience with gigabit serial interfaces and multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs)
