FPGA DSP Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research, scope, design, and implement embedded software systems for real-time wide frequency spectrum RF digital data signal processing
• Develop and expand drone recognition and disruption algorithms using software-defined radios (SDRs)
• Implement complex Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms into production-grade firmware
• Identify proprietary and open standard transmission protocols and perform data recovery
• Optimize core technology for recognition accuracy, performance, stability, and maintenance

Requirements

• BS in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent technical field of study
• 3+ years of experience working within an established engineering team
• Proficiency in Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog for programming, debugging, and verification
• Strong FPGA development experience using tools such as Vivado, Quartus, or Vitis
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency, and fully pipelined FPGA architectures
• Experience writing C/C++ firmware for FPGA modules
• Proficiency with Python scripting and working in a Linux environment
• Experience using and designing automated Verification and Validation frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PCB schematics, board bring-ups, and hardware debugging
• Strong background and practical experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
• General RF background and knowledge of RF transmission protocols
• Working knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) concepts within the scope of FPGA implementation
