About the role

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and develop software support for the successful routing of next-generation FPGA devices
  • Own various modules of the Quartus compiler, ranging from device modeling to timing closure and runtime
  • Implement new features and perform root-cause analysis to fix existing issues within a large codebase
  • Optimize software for hardware requirements including Fmax, throughput, timing closure, and area
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external customers to improve compiler performance

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering
  • Experience in FPGA device routing
  • Knowledge of device modeling, timing closure, and runtime
  • Ability to work at the intersection of hardware requirements and software optimizations
