Foundry Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing on in-process and returned castings to identify defects
• Support first-article inspections and part qualification through visual and dimensional inspections
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
• Document inspection and test results accurately and communicate findings to Manufacturing and Quality teams
• Create and maintain SAP quality notifications, inspection records, and test results
• Conduct material testing including chemical analysis, tensile testing, and basic metallurgical evaluations
• Perform non-destructive testing (VT, LPI, UT) in accordance with established procedures
• Support ISO 9001 quality system requirements, internal audits, and corrective action activities
• Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping requirements, including the use of required PPE

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Basic to intermediate math skills for measurements and data interpretation
• Knowledge of industrial quality and safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training, associate degree, or equivalent work experience
• Experience in a manufacturing, foundry, or quality inspection environment
• Experience with material testing, chemical analysis, or non-destructive testing
