About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Allegro’s internal engineering teams and foundry process engineers.
  • Monitor daily line health and wafer sort yields to ensure high standards of quality.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for yield excursions or process deviations using statistical process control (SPC) data.
  • Audit foundry process flows for BCD, High Voltage, and TMR technologies to ensure adherence to Process Control Plans.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by coordinating the fabrication of engineering samples and "hot lots."
  • Manage manufacturing excursions by leading task forces to identify sources, contain material, and implement 8D corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for cycle-time reduction, cost savings, and yield optimization.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in a semiconductor wafer fab environment (Process, Yield, or Integration Engineering).
  • Deep understanding of BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) or Analog/Mixed-Signal process flows.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as JMP, Minitab, or Spotfire.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis techniques including SEM, EDX, or FIB.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical issues to both executives and external partners.
