About the Company

Zania is building agentic AI for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to solve massive enterprise problems. Funded by a leading Tier 1 venture capital fund, we are scaling a world-class team of AI and Security leaders to automate complex risk and compliance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Engineer core product features and scalable, secure backend services
• Build petabyte-scale AI pipelines for retrieval and large-scale data collection
• Develop advanced agentic systems and backend infrastructure for complex planning agents
• Contribute to the architecture and management of cloud infrastructure
• Engineer systems with high standards of security and reliability

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality backend systems
• Hands-on proficiency in Python
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hyper-growth or 0-to-1 startup environment
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React
• Experience with large-scale data processing such as Spark
