Founding Product Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define deployment and environment strategy, including CI/CD, environment isolation, and rollout strategies
• Own databases and performance at scale, including migrations, query analysis, and capacity planning
• Raise the operational bar by defining best practices for reliability, security, and incident response
• Plan for long-term growth to ensure infrastructure evolves alongside scaling workloads

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience operating production systems at scale on a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Deep experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tools like Terraform or GitHub Actions
• Hands-on experience running and tuning production databases
• Practical experience with modern monitoring and tracing tools such as Datadog
• Familiarity with IAM, networking, and service-to-service authentication
• Product-minded approach to infrastructure, prioritizing tradeoffs and impact
