Founding Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Establish and build the foundational design system in Figma, including tokens, components, and patterns
• Create a cohesive look and feel across all platform modules and features
• Design and prototype key features from concept to high-fidelity interactive prototypes
• Lead solution discovery by understanding problems and exploring directions
• Translate design solutions into clear PRDs for engineering
• Conduct direct customer discovery and UI/UX validation to pressure-test designs
• Partner closely with engineering to drive tactical delivery and implementation

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B or SaaS
• Proven experience establishing a design system from the ground up
• Strong visual and interaction craft demonstrated in a portfolio
• Ability to run independent discovery and make product judgment calls
• Proficiency in Figma and Claude Design, including AI-assisted design tools
• Ability to write clear requirements and partner with engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for complex, enterprise, or data-heavy technical platforms
• Experience in early-stage startups or small, fast-moving teams
• Front-end literacy to collaborate effectively on design system implementation
• Experience working alongside AI systems and applying human judgment to automated outputs
