About the Company

Altruist is transforming the multi-trillion dollar wealth management industry by building an AI platform for wealth professionals. Hazel, a part of Altruist, is building the AI engine for wealth management that helps unlock 10x growth, efficiency and value for financial advisors and their clients.

Responsibilities

• Design agentic workflows for real admin work across note-taking, meetings, inbox, and tasks
• Invent new interaction patterns for AI-assisted work blending automation and human control
• Define how the agent communicates progress, uncertainty, and permissions
• Build functional prototypes using real front-end code
• Iterate quickly in tight feedback loops as AI capabilities expand
• Contribute to and evolve the Ethos design system

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product design
• Strong interaction design fundamentals and a track record of shipping real products
• Ability to prototype and build in code (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or similar)
• Systems-level mindset for complex, multi-step workflows
• High craft bar in interaction, UX writing, and visual hierarchy
• Clear communication and low-ego collaboration skills
• A portfolio with clear, high-quality examples of shipped product work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or building AI-powered or agentic products
• Background in productivity tools or admin workflows
• Familiarity with design systems and front-end component libraries in React
