About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the full hiring engine, leading recruiting end-to-end from role definition to closing candidates
  • Develop the employer brand to attract top talent in the DACH region and beyond
  • Scale recruiting processes, analytics, workflows, and operating rhythms
  • Act as a strategic partner to founders on org design, talent planning, and hiring calibration
  • Shape the people system, including performance calibrations, feedback rhythms, and compensation benchmarking
  • Grow Mercura's network within the startup ecosystem, universities, and technical talent scenes

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in Talent, Performance, or organizational development
  • Experience in a high-growth environment such as a startup or scaleup
  • High bar for talent and excellence
  • Structured thinking and ability to execute independently
  • Strong storytelling and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with AI tools for workflow experimentation
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
