Founding Operator

Responsibilities

• Solve ambiguous strategic, analytical, and operational problems alongside the leadership team
• Convert unstructured, high-stakes problems into clear frameworks, recommendations, and decisions
• Drive analyses for pricing, commercial strategy, account health, and pipeline performance
• Produce high-quality board materials and executive narratives
• Partner with product teams on roadmap prioritization and customer-driven specifications
• Support enterprise deployments and build operational GTM workflows
• Build internal AI workflows, agents, and prompts to compress work cycles
• Step into any critical business need, from customer escalations to financial modeling

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of experience at MBB (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or an elite investment bank
• Strong executive presence with the ability to build rapport with senior leadership and customers
• High analytical rigor across modeling, written deliverables, and verbal communication
• AI-native workflow proficiency with a deep understanding of frontier model capabilities
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate for this in-person role
• High agency, high motor, and a commitment to maintaining a punishingly high quality bar

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to insurance, fintech, vertical SaaS, or AI-applied businesses
• Track record of shipping side projects, internal tools, or AI agents
• Experience operating at an early-stage startup or owning a P&L workstream
• Experience producing investor-grade or board-level materials
