About the Company

Dart builds novel AI architecture for clinical safety, accuracy, and speed. We are the AI partner for health systems, allowing healthcare providers to run complex clinical cases at scale, safely, and measurably. Our core engine, HOMER-1, is the first ever Clinical AI Machine.

Responsibilities

• Spend ~50% of your time as a hands-on contributor designing architectures, writing code, and reviewing PRs
• Lead architecture decisions for enterprise-grade healthcare deployments
• Partner with founders on product direction and R&D, including virtual hospital simulation labs
• Collaborate with the existing engineering team in São Paulo and help recruit the NYC team
• Own quality, reliability, and speed in a trust-critical environment
• Grow into a Head of Engineering role as the company scales

Requirements

• 4–10 years of engineering experience with deep ownership of complex technical systems
• High autonomy and ability to own ambiguous problems end-to-end
• First-principles thinking and ability to operate in high-variability environments
• Ability to work in-person 5 days a week in the Chelsea, NYC office
• Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) experience is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Curiosity about clinical AI and patient impact
• Experience in high-growth startup environments
