Founding iOS Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop a native iOS app for our evolving product
• Work with the founders to design and implement novel mobile experiences
• Build and maintain high-quality, reusable, and testable code
• Define mobile development processes including planning, testing, releasing, and monitoring
• Collaborate effectively in a shared codebase while upholding high coding standards
• Optimize app performance and speed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS developments and best practices
• Contribute to the overall product strategy and user experience

Requirements

• Experience building consumer apps at scale
• Strong fundamentals in modern iOS stack (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit)
• Experience with Swift 6.0 concurrency and app performance profiling
• Proficiency with Git and Git flow methodology
• Understanding of design patterns such as MVVM
• High-agency and ability to master new skills quickly
• Interest in fashion, avatars, or creative expression

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WebSockets, HTTP, concurrency, and multithreading
• Experience building complex, fluid UX animations in iOS
• Background in fashion or consumer e-commerce
