Founding Infrastructure/Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, operation, and security of Silkline's cloud platform on AWS
• Build and manage data infrastructure for Postgres, including replication, backups, and disaster recovery
• Develop the developer platform, including CI/CD, preview environments, and deployment safety
• Mature observability and on-call practices using Datadog, OpenTelemetry, and Sentry
• Lead compliance efforts for SOC 2, ITAR, and FedRAMP authorization
• Manage and scale AI infrastructure and durable-execution platforms like Trigger.dev

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or SRE roles
• Deep expertise in Pulumi (or deep Terraform/CDK experience with a willingness to use Pulumi)
• Extensive AWS experience, including VPC routing and IAM
• Strong Postgres operations experience, including tuning, replication, and migrations
• US person status (US citizen or lawful permanent resident) for ITAR compliance
• Experience with production discipline, including on-call rotations and SLO management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience taking a company through FedRAMP, CMMC, or NIST 800-171 authorization
• Experience working within AWS GovCloud (US)
• Familiarity with handling export-controlled (ITAR/EAR) or CUI data
• Experience with durable-execution platforms like Trigger.dev, Inngest, or Temporal
• Experience with Next.js production deployments
