Founding Engineer (Platform)

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core backend systems focused on reliability, auditability, and scale
• Integrate with external custody, trading, identity, and KYC systems using clean abstractions
• Design and implement internal Book of Record, transaction logic, and compliance-sensitive state transitions
• Build and maintain APIs for mobile apps, advisor tools, and internal systems
• Define internal event system structures and data models for advice, execution, and audit history
• Collaborate with product, ops, and advisors to ship safe and performant systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience
• Experience in fintech, banking, trading platforms, or financial infrastructure
• Strong understanding of ledgers, trades, balances, custody, compliance, and audit trails
• Deep production experience in Go, Java, Kotlin, Rust, or Python
• Experience integrating third-party systems via API
• Focus on secure, well-tested code, system integrity, and fault-tolerance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Postgres
• Experience with event-driven systems
• Experience with background job processing or workflow orchestration (e.g., Temporal)
