Founding Engineer

About the Company

Konduit is building the rails for real-time insurance capacity allocation. Backed by Aviva and incubated by Founders Factory, we connect innovative MGAs with insurers via a standardized, intelligent platform to transform underwriting into a dynamic marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the core Konduit platform
• Deliver the MVP and onboard early customers
• Feed into product strategy and commercial goals to identify value-driven opportunities
• Establish engineering best practices, infrastructure, and security foundations
• Develop the Konduit canonical data model
• Integrate external data sources to power an intelligent allocation layer

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to deliver products in a tech startup environment
• Experience integrating third-party data providers and APIs in production
• Experience working with complex data models and multi-party workflows
• Full-stack web development, data analysis, and applied AI experience
• Appetite for experimenting with new technologies and tools
• Experience building products in regulated industries (e.g., insurance, fintech, payments)
• Familiarity with compliance-aware system design (auditability, permissions, security)
• Exposure to marketplace, platform, or workflow orchestration systems
• Prior experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup
