Founding Engineer - Frontend

About the Company

Oodle’s mission is to build an iconic observability company! Oodle enables developer and SRE teams to handle 10x more data at a tenth of the price, disrupting the observability market with a unified experience for logs, metrics, and traces. The founders are serial entrepreneurs from Rubrik, AWS, and YC.

Responsibilities

• Architect efficient and reusable frontend systems for complex web applications
• Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
• Wear multiple hats including rapid experimentation, customer discovery, and eliminating ambiguity
• Identify performance bottlenecks and help scale the system
• Set the foundation for company culture and help grow the team

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript and React JS
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
• Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
• Strong sense of web design
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for building extraordinary products

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to operate as a generalist (frontend, designer, or full-stack)
• Familiarity with the whole web stack, protocols, and web server optimization
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI
• Experience developing user-facing software for observability products
