Founding Embedded Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own major product areas end-to-end, from conception to implementation across desktop and cloud stacks
• Act as a creative technologist by prototyping new workflows and discovering product opportunities
• Work directly with clients in industries like aerospace and medical devices to solve firmware challenges
• Design and implement hardware-in-the-loop validation systems, simulation frameworks, and automated testing infrastructure
• Push the boundaries of AI-assisted firmware development to automate the developer experience
• Collaborate with founders on product strategy and technical feasibility

Requirements

• 4+ years of real-world embedded software experience (embedded Linux, microcontroller, or FPGA)
• Deep experience with toolchains and build systems, including cross-compilation and CI/CD for hardware
• Extensive experience using and forming opinions on AI tooling
• Proven track record of shipping 0-to-1 products independently at early-stage companies
• High degree of ownership, autonomy, and a builder mentality
• Ability to act as a client-facing technical partner

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across multiple embedded domains such as automotive, aerospace, medical, or energy
• Experience with developer tools or infrastructure
• Experience in forward-deployed or solutions engineering roles
