Founding Director of Commercial Music and Worship Arts

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the commercial music and worship arts curriculum.
• Oversee facilities renovations and the procurement of industry-standard recording and rehearsal equipment.
• Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to recruit prospective students.
• Establish strategic partnerships with industry professionals, churches, and alumni networks.
• Direct program operations, including student advising, assessment, and internship coordination.
• Teach courses in specialized areas such as music production, songwriting, music business, or worship leadership.
• Support the university mission through Christ-centered teaching and student mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in music, music industry, worship studies, or a closely related field.
• Significant professional experience in the music industry and/or worship leadership.
• Expertise in at least one area: music production, songwriting, live sound, music business, or commercial performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A professing Christian faith and a commitment to the values of Christian higher education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in music, music industry, worship, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in higher education teaching and curriculum development.
• Experience in program administration and established professional industry networks.
