About the Company

Formal is a data security platform designed to help teams understand and control their data. We are building a modern protocol-aware reverse-proxy for datastores and APIs, trusted by leading companies such as Ramp, Gusto, and Notion. Formal is backed by top-tier VCs including Thrive Capital and Y Combinator.

Responsibilities

• Develop intuitive UI/UX designs for the application using Figma
• Engage directly with customers to shape product design
• Design and maintain the company website and web experiences
• Create engaging visuals and dynamic content for marketing, launches, and case studies
• Ensure design consistency across Formal's brand identity
• Collaborate with the CEO and engineering team to align design with business goals

Requirements

• Experience in product or brand design, preferably in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity
• Standout portfolio showcasing UI/UX, marketing assets, and brand design
• Ability to own projects from concept to delivery independently
• Proficiency in Figma for UI/UX, prototyping, and graphic design
• Skills in marketing design including social media and promotional materials
• Solid foundation in design principles, typography, and color theory
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, rapid iteration environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in early-stage startups within security or data management
• Strong project management skills
• Experience in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro)
