Founders Associate Intern - Strategy & Finance

About the Company

VREY is building the EnergyOS for multi-family residential buildings. We combine certified metering operations with our own software to enable owners to sell self-generated solar power directly to tenants, turning regulatory requirements into profitable opportunities. Having secured €3.3M in seed funding, we are now entering our next growth phase.

Responsibilities

• Support the COO with finance, administrative, and strategic tasks
• Assist in the development of processes for the Energy Operations team
• Manage (finance) sub-projects and ensure structured documentation
• Support the creation of scalable structures, standards, and templates for operative projects
• Assist in the operational and technical implementation of customer projects
• Analyze existing processes to identify optimization potential and complexity
• Develop internal processes and tools (e.g., Airtable) to increase efficiency
• Implement improvements through automation and handle cross-departmental special projects

Requirements

• Current Bachelor or Master student in Industrial Engineering, Energy Management, Business Administration, or similar
• Previous internship experience in Consulting (Tier 1/2), High-Growth Startups, or Project Management
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to make independent, data-driven decisions
• Strong interest in startups, energy, or real estate
• Fluent in German and English
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, founder-proximate environment rather than a 9-to-5 role
