Founder in Residence, Scaling grid construction and deployment

Responsibilities

• Refine the technical thesis for modular transmission tower and foundation construction
• Develop commercial strategy including IP, differentiation, and competition analysis
• Define value proposition, market sizing, and techno-economics
• Formulate regulatory strategy and positioning
• Lead fundraising strategy and pitching to secure Series A
• Recruit advisory and co-founding team members
• Prepare for Investment Committee approval and venture spin-out

Requirements

• Deep engineering expertise in civil, mechanical, or structural engineering
• Knowledge of modular structural systems, DfMA, or kit-of-parts approaches
• Experience with advanced connection technologies or lightweight composite materials
• Understanding of foundation engineering and geotechnics
• Experience across the full project lifecycle of large grid or energy infrastructure
• Proven track record of shipping prototypes or field trials
• Experience in venture creation or product leadership in deep-tech or construction technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Network across transmission operators, EPC contractors, or utilities
• Business development or customer development experience in energy infrastructure
• Previous fundraising experience from Venture Capital
• Previous founder or C-suite experience in deep-tech or energy sectors
