Foundations Math Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach developmental mathematics courses and provide instruction in seated SSC-113 courses.
• Develop mathematical strategies and pedagogy to assist students in meeting course learning outcomes.
• Manage and develop a Math Center to provide additional student support.
• Administer, score, and share math placement assessment data for incoming students.
• Collaborate with the Math Department and the Director of General Education to review placement instruments and curriculum.
• Provide student advising through active office hours and supplemental instruction sessions.
• Support the general functions of the Burton Center, including tutoring and testing services.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Three years of experience teaching college-level foundational or developmental mathematics.
• Experience working as part of a Student Success team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Education with a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Mathematics and a focus on developmental instruction.
