Foundations Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and present comprehensive cost estimates for foundation scopes and heavy civil construction projects.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for deep foundation-related work, including crews, equipment, and materials.
• Analyze contract documents, specifications, and drawings to identify bid qualifications, risks, and assumptions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to solicit bids and obtain constructability input.
• Manage comparisons between self-perform estimates and subcontractor quotes to ensure project requirements are met.
• Participate in estimate reviews and presentations to department leadership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in construction or estimating, preferably within heavy civil construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Construction Estimating Software.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a pursuit team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (Civil, Structural, or related fields).
• Experience with geotechnical or specialty foundation construction.
