Forward Deployment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point of contact for healthcare customers onsite
• Translate ambiguous problems into scalable AI solutions
• Build and deploy AI systems, including RAG pipelines and multi-agent workflows
• Develop real-time conversational AI systems
• Integrate healthcare data using HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, and X12
• Build data pipelines using Python and SQL
• Own the full lifecycle from design to monitoring and troubleshoot production issues
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, AI research, and clinical teams

Requirements

• BS in a technical field (CS, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering) or non-technical field with formal CS education
• 3+ years in software engineering, AI/ML, or data integration
• Strong Python skills
• Experience with AI/ML systems in production
• Willingness to be deployed onsite at customer locations for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HL7, FHIR, or REST APIs
• Experience with Epic or Cerner
• Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering
• Exposure to Voice AI
• Cloud and DevOps knowledge
