Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as a deployed technical expert providing hands-on assistance with the implementation and development of ION
• Collaborate with customers to develop custom web apps and wrangle large-scale data
• Own the end-to-end delivery of solutions while maintaining high customer satisfaction
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code across the stack
• Work in small teams to execute high-stakes projects
• Provide feedback to the internal product team to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science
• Experience shipping production quality code
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical individuals
• Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing as a Product Manager or Lead Engineer
• Proficiency with Python and/or React (TypeScript)
• Experience working with large-scale data
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
